Priced from $68,490 plus on-road costs, the Amarok 10 Deserts Edition features a list of cosmetic and off-road upgrades including a 40mm suspension lift, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres, factory-issued underbody protection plates, a black sports bar, soft tonneau cover, all-weather floor mats, and 10 Deserts decal spanning the front and rear doors.
Just 300 examples of the special edition model will be offered.
“With the 10 Deserts Edition, the refinement of the Amarok has been given a tougher edge, offering genuine off-road ability and benchmark ground clearance, while still being a premium-appointed ute that drivers want to be in,” said Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles product manager Michael Cenci.
“All while being available to park in your driveway for less than $70,000.”
Elsewhere across the Amarok MY25 line-up, 230-volt power outlets have been added to Style, PanAmericana and Aventura variants backed by a 400-watt inverter alongside Trailer Assist reversing technology to support the models’ 3500kg braked towing abilities.
Importantly for trade and commercial buyers, the Amarok will now also be available in cab-chassis configuration with new ‘Tray’ variants offered in Core, Life, and Style grades. The alloy tray measures 1835mm in internal width and 1650mm in internal length and tips the scales at just 132kg.
Additionally, the alloy tray can be purchased as a dealer-fitted accessory (+$4000) on any Amarok model.
For customers requiring a tray with additional strength, a similarly dimensioned steel tray, weighing in at 243kg, is available as a dealer-fit accessory.
For the MY25 Volkswagen Amarok range, Reed Green Metallic replaces Mid Blue Metallic on the available colour palette.
“Whether towing or working on the job remotely, the specification upgrades to MY25 Amarok ensure it remains dependable, comfortable and eminently usable, while continuing to lead the segment with a premium in-cabin feel,” added Mr Cenci.
“The further additions to the MY25 Amarok range like the new Tray variants also mean that Aussie tradespeople have a functional, factory-supported solution backed by our five-year warranty.”
Mr Cenci said the MY25 Volkswagen Amarok will be progressively introduced into Australian dealerships across the second half of 2025. Current MY24 stock offers are now available via the importer’s public website.
