New models - Skoda - Kodiaq - PHEVSkoda prices Kodiaq PHEV from $63,490 + ORCKodiaq PHEV joins ICE and BEV Skoda large SUV options from $63,490 + ORC8 Dec 2025 THE arrival of Skoda’s Kodiaq plug-in hybrid (PHEV) completes the Czech-based Volkswagen Group manufacturer’s range of large SUVs, which now comprise petrol and PHEV Kodiaqs alongside the battery electric Enyaq.
Listed from $63,490 excluding on-road costs, the petrol-electric version of the Kodiaq Select variant is positioned above the petrol-only Select ($54,990 + ORC) and Sportline ($58,990 + ORC) grades, providing an alternative to the performance-focused RS ($68,990 + ORC).
Rivals include the Chery Tiggo 9 ($59,990 before on-road costs), Kia Sorento GT-Line PHEV ($84,660 + ORC) and Mazda CX-80 PHEV (from $75,250 + ORC), as well as the yet-to-be-priced BYD Sealion 8.
Skoda says its fully electric, five-seat Enyaq Sportline 85 (at $59,990 + ORC) and Enyaq Sportline 85 Coupe (at $65,990 + ORC) also represent alternatives in the same segment.
The new five-seat PHEV calls upon a combined 150kW/350Nm output from its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and 85kW/330Nm electric motor, claimed to stop the 0-100km/h clock in 8.4 seconds.
Up to 112km of WLTP battery range is claimed, with 11kW AC charging and 50kW DC charging for home or public charging, and 1.85 litres per 100 kilometres combined cycle fuel consumption (when starting out with a fully charged battery).
The Kodiaq PHEV has driver-selectable electric and hybrid drive options accessed via the vehicle touchscreen.
A choice of low, high or automatic brake energy recuperation and two battery power usage methods are also provided.
The automatic setting can use the engine to recharge the battery, and manual mode only allows plug-in charging equipment to top up the battery.
In terms of standard equipment, the Kodiaq PHEV features a large 745-litre boot in lieu of a third seating row and shares standard equipment levels with the petrol Select.
This includes 19-inch alloy wheels, keyless access, heated and power folding door mirrors, power adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, tri-zone climate control, twin wireless chargers with 15W and active ventilation plus 5x USB-C ports (including rear-view mirror port for dash cams).
A 13-inch infotainment unit features DAB+ digital radio reception and in-built satellite navigation plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring.
Driver assist and active safety features include adaptive cruise control with travel assist and traffic jam assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist with adaptive lane guidance, oncoming traffic avoidance, auto emergency braking, traffic sign recognition and more.
Nine airbags are also standard.
Optional at $6500 (for both the Kodiaq Select and Kodiaq Select PHEV) is the Signature Package that adds eight-way massage front seats, power-adjustable passenger seat with lumbar support and memory, autonomous parking, 360-degree cameras, adaptive matrix LED headlights, illuminated front grille, hands-free tailgate, heated steering wheel, heated outboard seats, head-up display and rear dynamic indicators.
Skoda director Lucie Kuhn said the brand now offers Australian families a complete range of large SUV options suited to their every need, with five or seven seats, petrol, PHEV or electric.
“Skoda is pleased to deliver to Australian customers a turbocharged, seven-seat all-wheel drive Kodiaq with a high level of standard equipment,” she said.
“In addition to this, we can now offer a Kodiaq PHEV with 112km of electric-only range, to reduce emissions while retaining performance.
“We have recently launched the Kodiaq RS with even greater performance than the previous model, and our Enyaq fully electric SUV range with more range and value than ever.
“Our comprehensive offerings in the large SUV segment are all backed by a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty and guaranteed future value (GFV) with Skoda Choice, for complete peace of mind.”
