Skoda Karoq 130 Years Edition detailed

SKODA has announced details of its Karoq 130 Years Edition ahead of the variant’s September launch.

The well-specified SUV will be priced from $48,990 plus on-road costs, slotting between the Sportline 110TSI and Sportline 140TSI within the Karoq line-up.

The 2025 Skoda Karoq 130 Years shares its driveline with two-wheel drive Karoq Select and Sportline variants and is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine developing 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque.

Drive is to the front wheels via an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Based upon the Select grade, the special edition variant is characterised by 19-inch Sagittarius alloy wheels in a silver finish, rear privacy glass, chromed roof rails and window framing, matrix LED headlighting with dynamic cornering and all-weather functionality, keyless entry, a powered tailgate with gesture control opening, power-folding wing mirrors, and bespoke badging.

Moving inside we find equipment highlights drawn largely from the Sportline variant’s optional Signature Pack including a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment array, native sat nav, premium 10-speaker Canton sound, DAB+ digital radio reception, leather-appointed upholstery, power adjustable front seats with lumbar and memory functionality, heated front- and outboard rear seats, keyless ignition, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and LED ambient cabin lighting.

Skoda will also offer the model with its Travel Assist technology encompassing adaptive cruise control adaptive lane assist, and emergency assist on top of autonomous emergency braking, front-, side-, and rear- traffic alert, and seven airbags among a long list of standard safety inclusions.

Four paint colour options are available: Black Magic, Graphite Grey, Moon White, and Race Blue.

The Skoda Karoq 130 Years Edition is now available to order with initial customer deliveries commencing in September 2025.

The Skoda Karoq competes within the bustling SUV Medium under $60K segment locally where it vies against the likes of the Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX-5. Year-to-date (YTD) sales figures show Skoda has sold 207 examples of the Karoq (0.2 segment share points), placing it at the back of the pack in terms of outright popularity.

The SUV Medium under $60K is currently dominated by the Toyota RAV4 with YTD sales of 21,618 units (23.2 segment share points) ahead of the Mitsubishi Outlander with 10,203 units (11.0 per cent), Mazda CX-5 with 9409 units (10.1 per cent), Kia Sportage with 8723 units (9.4 per cent), and Hyundai Tucson with 7940 units (8.5 per cent).
