The model is set to be unveiled for the first time on August 13 at Monterey Car Week, in California, adorned with even more carbon fibre (hence the name) than the recently unveiled Sport SV Black model that it sits above.
Rounding out the three-model Sport SV line-up, the Carbon model lives up to the name with carbon seats, bonnet, brakes, interior and exterior trim, and even wheels – contributing to a total 76kg weight saving when compared with the Sport P530.
Powered by the same fire-breathing 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine as its lesser SV stablemates, producing the same 467kW/750Nm, the Carbon variant will reach a top speed of 290km/h.
While the 0-100km/h time has not yet been quoted, it will likely take the same 3.6 seconds to reach triple figures as it does in the downstream SV Black, although it could be even quicker given the lightweight focus.
Dynamic performance comes via Range Rover’s 6D Dynamics Suspension, which uses hydraulic air suspension with pitch and roll control to maintain composed handling for the two-plus-tonne SUV.
The model will be available with four standard paint options, as well as choices from the SV Premium Palette range, while inside buyers will get the choice of four trim themes including Ebony, Rosewood, Light Ebony, or the leather-free Cinder Grey.
Interior technology includes the Inside, Body and Soul Seat (BASS) system, which pumps audio in to allow occupants to “feel the sound”, for an immersive listening experience.
“Last month we announced the Range Rover Sport SV Black, offering a stealthy, dipped-in-black aesthetic, while the new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon is an assertive interpretation of our luxury performance SUV,” said Range Rover product and services marketing director Ryan Miller.
“Offered alongside Range Rover Sport SV and SV Black, it completes the new line-up showcasing the best of Range Rover’s sophisticated carbon fibre materials, for the ultimate expression of lightweight performance.”
The Range Rover Sport SV Carbon is available for order in Australia, priced from an eye-watering $350,440 excluding on-road costs. ![]() Read more3rd of July 2025 ![]() Range Rover Sport SV Black here late ‘25Monochrome aesthetic, phenomenal twin-turbo V8 power for $336K Sport SV BlackAll new models![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Motor industry news |
