The Edition C is based on the entry-level C200 and will be available in sedan guise only. Pricing is set at $60,900 driveaway, which is a saving over the C200’s usual price of $61,900 before on-road costs. The Edition C adds an electric sunroof, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, metallic paint and special 19-inch five twin-spoke alloy wheels. This is on top of the already standard 7.0-inch colour display with touchpad control and media interface, satellite navigation, digital radio, electric front seats, keyless start, Artico upholstery, black piano lacquer and brushed aluminium trim, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers and LED headlights. Under the bonnet of the C200 is 135kW/300Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine driving the rear wheels via a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission. C-Class sales have gone backwards so far this year, with the company recording a 25.6 per cent dip in sales to the end of March compared with the first quarter of 2017. However, its 1597-unit haul is still well ahead of its competition, with the next biggest seller in the premium mid-size segment its CLA sibling on 941 units. BMW’s 3 Series is next on 757 followed by the Audi A4 on 334. Last year its haul of 8549 units made it the best-selling premium model in Australia, and it was also the second best-selling mid-sizer overall behind the Toyota Camry (23,620). The C-Class mid-life facelift – revealed at this year’s Geneva motor show in sedan and wagon guise before the coupe and cabriolet were uncovered at last month’s New York show – will hit Australian showrooms in August. ![]() Read more21st of March 2018 ![]() New York show: Benz tweaks two-door C-ClassFresh two-door Mercedes C-Class gains EQ Boost powertrains, more power for C43All new models Alfa Romeo Abarth Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chrysler Chevrolet Dodge Citroen Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton Haval Great Wall Honda Holden Hyundai HSV Isuzu Infiniti Jaguar Iveco Kia Jeep Land Rover Lamborghini Maserati Lexus McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mitsubishi Mini Opel Nissan Porsche Peugeot Ram Proton Rolls-Royce Renault Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla VolvoC-Class pricing
