Chrysler confirms its Sebring sedan will hit Oz in June, aimed directly at Accord10 Nov 2006 By TERRY MARTIN FOLLOWING GoAuto's breaking news several weeks ago, Chrysler has confirmed the Sebring mid-size sedan will be launched Down Under next year. Now due in June, the Sebring will be offered with three engines: a 124kW/220Nm 2.4-litre four, a 140kW/259Nm 2.7-litre V6 and a 103kW/310Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. Chrysler will position Sebring in Australia as a rival for upmarket mid-size sedans like Honda's Accord, Subaru's Liberty and the Mazda6, while DaimlerChrysler sister brand Dodge hopes to introduce a production version of the Sebring-based Avenger sedan to take on the likes of Toyota's Camry, Hyundai's Sonata and Kia's Megentis.
