A new grille, alloy wheels and bumper inserts are the extent of the EL Fairmont’s facelift.
Underneath, upgraded suspension, steering and refinement levels were introduced, while small trim changes were implemented, including new instrumentation graphics.
However none could quell the unprecedented VT Commodore sales onslaught that followed less than a year later.
New standard features: thicker tinted glass, passenger seat height adjuster, upgraded audio, mobile phone wiring, battery light saver.
Engine options: 165kW 5.0L V8.
